Its origins are linked to an ancient church dedicated to Saint Salvario, a dedication by the people of Saint Salvatore, built where today we find the sanctuary and convent. In the XV century, the church was decorated by a terracotta statue depicting the Madonna with Child and from that time on it became a sanctuary dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
